   Cat Stevens' last album (as Cat Stevens) was first released in December , a year after he converted to Islam. Cat had seemingly been growing tired of the music business for a while and some of that was beginning to show up in his work. I find this album to be about 50% great and 50% filler/5(34).

   Dec 17,  · UPDATE: It’s been nearly a year since our initial coverage of the Cat Stevens Back To Earth box set featuring a new remaster done at Abbey Road and a wealth of rare audio and visual material. Since then, lots of changes have affected how the box will reach listeners. Now that Pledge Music is out of the equation, BMG and their new Cat-O-Log division will release the elaborate set .

   Nov 04,  · Cat-O-Log Records/BMG A remastered version of Cat Stevens' album Back to Earth will get its U.S. release on CD and vinyl on November 29, while a super-deluxe box set featuring various rare and previously unreleased live and studio tracks arrives on February 28, Back to Earth was the final album Stevens released before taking a long hiatus from the music business.

   Back to Earth is the eleventh studio album released by the British singer/songwriter Cat Stevens. It was the only album he recorded using the name Cat Stevens after his conversion to Islam in December It was also the last album of contemporary western music that he recorded until An Other Cup, nearly 30 years later.
